About: 

Based on conversations with unhappily married women from the region, I realised that there is agency to make change to their situation. Unfortunately, the choice is to not use this agency and instead accept reality because of fear of the unknown. The six hands in the painting symbolise this agency and the veiling/unveiling resembles living in a double life.
