Following a series of work that explore expressions of abject femininity, the work delves into ideas of collective mourning, representing a manifestation of the inner turmoil associated with the public and private dimensions of grief.

The distorted, exaggerated forms and rough textures reflect the tension between permissible displays of sorrow and the overwhelming, often dystopian present reality of navigating grief in the everyday. 

In this work, the artist renders the extremities of rage and horror that result from that tension, giving anguish a physical, visceral quality.
